Cappellini Oblong is a seating and bed family by Jasper Morrison built around broad padded forms.
Oblong Plus sofa modules connect into straight, corner or open arrangements over steel frames and elastic belts. The Plus bed adds enclosed storage beneath an upholstered frame, while Superoblong emphasizes an oversized pillow-like headboard and offers optional manually adjustable slats. Fabric and leather covers are removable across these designs, with cushioning and support construction specific to each version.
Jasper Morrison is a designer whose furniture work includes Emeco's Alfi, 1 Inch, Navy Lounge and Navy Officer collections. His collaboration with the manufacturer brings together material choices, engineering and detailed development. He also co-curated the Super Normal exhibition presented in Tokyo in 2006.
