How do I choose an armchair that is comfortable, not just handsome?
Look at seat height and depth first: about 17 inches high and 21 to 23 inches deep suits most people, while a deep lounge chair at 24 inches or more is for leaning back, not reading upright. Both figures are on each product page, and the showroom floor has samples to try.
Can I order an armchair in my own fabric or leather?
Each house offers its own range of fabrics and leathers, and most armchairs here are made to order in any of them. We send swatches to your door and advise on wear for a busy household or for pets. A few houses also accept your own fabric; the product page or our designers can confirm.
How long does an armchair take, and how is it delivered?
Made to order, typically 12–16 weeks from order to shipping. We deliver white-glove to all 48 contiguous states: the chair is carried in, unwrapped and placed, and the packaging removed.
