Adelaide Tea Saucer
The Adelaide tea saucer by Driade gives Xie Dong’s folded ceramic language a small, flat format.
Handmade in white bone china, its rippled surface and irregular square outline frame the central area for a cup. The sculpted edges connect it visually with the wider Adelaide tableware collection, turning a simple supporting piece into a textured object. Model code: DA544E5007002.

Xie Dong
Xie Dong is a Beijing-born artist and designer whose work explores materials, movement and the relationship between weight and lightness. Ceramic techniques are central to this practice, including methods that create rippled and pleated surfaces. Designs for Driade bring these experiments into functional objects linked to Chinese craft traditions.
