Adelaide Coffee Cup
The Adelaide coffee cup by Driade is a compact bone china vessel designed by Xie Dong.
Its angular body appears pinched and folded, with irregular surfaces giving the rigid ceramic a paper-like character. Handmade in white bone china, the small cup extends Adelaide’s sculptural tableware language into a form for serving coffee. Model code: DA551E2007002.

Xie Dong
Xie Dong is a Beijing-born artist and designer whose work explores materials, movement and the relationship between weight and lightness. Ceramic techniques are central to this practice, including methods that create rippled and pleated surfaces. Designs for Driade bring these experiments into functional objects linked to Chinese craft traditions.
