Foscarini Chouchin includes lantern-inspired pendants, ceiling lights and a wall light by Ionna Vautrin.
Glossy blown glass forms three rounded proportions, each ending in a lower collar. Opaque original versions concentrate light downward; Reverse and Bianco treatments also diffuse it through the glass body. Chouchin Semi adapts the outline to a half shade against the wall. Bulb and LED options vary by version, with the collar and changing proportions tying the designs together.
Ionna Vautrin opened her own studio after receiving the Grand Prix de la Création in Paris in 2011. Her work combines geometric and organic forms with references to familiar objects. For Foscarini, she designed Binic and the Chouchin lighting family, inspired by Japanese lanterns.
