Pendants and floor lamps.
FontanaArte Oort is Jacopo Roda’s family of linear glass lights, including horizontal and vertical pendants and a floor-to-ceiling version.
Each uses borosilicate glass that is smooth outside and ribbed within, surrounding an integrated warm-white LED source. Different tube lengths change the proportions. The floor-to-ceiling model uses a ceiling hook and floor counterweight, while the horizontal pendant spans two suspension points. Dimming adjusts the light within the textured glass.
Jacopo Roda is a mechanical engineering graduate whose interests in photography and design led him toward lighting. He joined FontanaArte in 2006, working in project management and collaborating with designers on product development. His own lighting designs for the company include the Oort collection.
