Flos Skynest includes Marcel Wanders’ ceiling and pendant lights woven from textile-covered strands.
Luminous LED elements and unlit cords form an open dome, supported by an aluminum ring, so light comes from the mesh itself. The suspension and ceiling versions use compatible remote dimming, while Skynest Motion adds a balancing system and an integrated brightness button. Warm 2700K light remains common to the different ways of suspending or mounting the woven form.
Marcel Wanders is a designer from Boxtel in the Netherlands. His Knotted Chair for Droog Design brought international attention to his work in 1996. He has collaborated with furniture manufacturers across Europe, developing objects that draw on historical references, cultural differences and decorative traditions.
