Flos Romeo includes Philippe Starck’s Moon indoor pendant and Outdoor ceiling design, both built around a tapered shade.
Romeo Moon pairs pressed clear glass with an acid-etched borosilicate inner diffuser, softening the bulb’s light through two glass layers. The outdoor model instead uses a shade woven from PVC tubes and comes in different suspension lengths. Replaceable E26 bulbs illuminate the related forms, with mounting, protection and controls specific to the indoor or exterior version.
Philippe Starck's collaboration with Emeco began after he used the manufacturer's Navy chairs in the Paramount Hotel. The partnership produced collections including Hudson, Heritage, Kong, Icon and Broom. These projects are part of his broader furniture design work and explore industrial materials and production methods.
