Sovet Italia Sila includes chairs and bar stools by Lievore Altherr Molina with curved plywood shells.
Exposed wood and fully upholstered versions offer different seat surfaces. Four-leg, tapered-leg and trestle bases change the chair’s support, while the stool raises the shell above a footrest. The wood-shell four-leg chair stacks up to six high. An optional felt cushion adds a separate layer to unupholstered models, with each base retaining its own function.
Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina formed their Barcelona studio in 1991. Their work includes furniture, interiors, packaging, consulting and art direction. The studio combines product development with teaching and collaborations for manufacturers in Spain, Italy and the United States.
