Sovet Italia Slim includes tables, consoles, seating and storage by Matthias Demacker, linked by slender aluminum framing.
Dining and coffee tables use thin surfaces above open legs, with fixed and extending versions. Sideboards place rounded cabinets over the frame, while sofas and the daybed add upholstered volumes and movable cushions. Dedicated outdoor designs use ceramic or iroko surfaces. Different materials and proportions carry the same narrow structural profile through dining, work and living spaces, with mechanisms and exterior suitability specific to each model.
Matthias Demacker studied design at FH Niederrhein in Krefeld while working on exhibition stands with architectural studios. He later moved to Munich and established his own practice in 2003. His furniture work includes the Slim collection for Sovet.
