Marset Ginger includes pendant, table, floor, wall and outdoor lights by Joan Gaspar with shallow circular shades.
Pressed-wood and metal versions reflect LED light from their inner surfaces. Adjustable arms extend selected indoor lamps, while portable models add rechargeable operation. Dedicated exterior models range from wall fixtures to bollards and a lamppost. The broad family shares the flattened shade, with materials, mounting, controls and weather exposure suited to each individual design.
Joan Gaspar studied industrial design in Barcelona and began working in lighting manufacturing in 1988. His collaboration with Marset started in 1996, covering product development and design direction. He opened his own Barcelona studio in 2002 and has taught materials and technology for industrial design.
