Marset Fris is Joan Gaspar’s system of rotatable glass light tubes for pendant, ceiling and wall installations.
Visible aluminum profiles sit inside transparent glass, allowing each beam to be aimed independently. Standard models come in three lengths, while Fris Pro 155 adds individual optical lenses for more controlled illumination. Dedicated mounting, suspension and power accessories determine the arrangement, with the same glass-and-metal line repeated across the different formats.
Joan Gaspar studied industrial design in Barcelona and began working in lighting manufacturing in 1988. His collaboration with Marset started in 1996, covering product development and design direction. He opened his own Barcelona studio in 2002 and has taught materials and technology for industrial design.
