Marset Aura includes wall and ceiling lights by Joan Gaspar with rounded blown-glass shades inspired by a carafe.
LEDs illuminate the glass and cast light onto the surrounding surface, keeping the curved form visible when lit or switched off. Aura and Aura Plus offer two sizes. Transparent, opal and metallic-toned glass treatments change the reflections, with dimming and controls depending on the selected fixture and installation.
Joan Gaspar studied industrial design in Barcelona and began working in lighting manufacturing in 1988. His collaboration with Marset started in 1996, covering product development and design direction. He opened his own Barcelona studio in 2002 and has taught materials and technology for industrial design.
