LaPalma Thin includes stacking chairs and an adjustable stool by Karri Monni.
Molded plywood shells have fine outer edges and thicker centers, creating a continuous seat-and-back profile. The chairs come with or without arms on stainless-steel frames, with wood finishes or leather treatments. The pedestal stool adds swivel movement and a footrest, with height adjustment from 52 to 77 cm for different indoor counter and bar positions.
Karri Monni trained in furniture carpentry and later studied interior architecture and furniture design at Finland's Lahti Institute of Design. He started his own studio in 1999 and has designed for LaPalma since 2001. His Helsinki-based work includes furniture development and interiors for corporate and public clients.
