Flos Smithfield includes Jasper Morrison’s ceiling and pendant lights with broad aluminum shades and opalescent diffusers.
The close-mounted ceiling version and suspended design share a rounded outline that softens light directed below. Separate replaceable-bulb and integrated-LED models offer different light-source arrangements. LED versions provide warm 2700K or 3000K illumination with compatible 0–10V dimming, while painted finishes give the same indoor form different surface treatments.
Jasper Morrison is a designer whose furniture work includes Emeco's Alfi, 1 Inch, Navy Lounge and Navy Officer collections. His collaboration with the manufacturer brings together material choices, engineering and detailed development. He also co-curated the Super Normal exhibition presented in Tokyo in 2006.
