Cappellini Newson Vase is Marc Newson's vessel design in glossy ceramic or mouth-blown glass.
The curving body can hold an open arrangement, while a matching lid with three openings separates individual flower stems. The ceramic version includes a removable lid; the glass lid is optional. Transparent colored glass reveals the vessel's interior and carries natural variations from blowing, while the ceramic surface presents the same sculpted idea as an opaque form.
Marc Newson is an Australian designer whose work spans furniture, transportation, technology and consumer products. His collaboration with Cappellini began in 1989 with designs including the Wooden Chair and Orgone collection. Later pieces include the Embryo Chair, Felt Chair, tables and accessories.
