Calligaris Carmen by Gino Carollo / Studio 28 includes dining chairs and a counter stool with slender metal legs and padded upper forms.
Attached seat cushions soften the narrow silhouettes, with a distinct fold at the back of the Large chair and stool. High backrests continue the vertical outline above the seat. The stool adds a crossbar footrest beneath the raised upholstery, extending the related seating design to counter level.
Gino Carollo began working in industrial design and art direction in 1990 and established Studio28 Gino Carollo in 1999. The practice develops furniture through design, models and prototypes. Its collaborations include Bontempi, with an approach informed by travel, cultural research and the requirements of industrial production.
