Dining tables.
Bonaldo Torii by Marconato and Zappa includes dining tables with two slightly inclined metal supports inspired by Japanese shrine gateways.
Fixed round, rectangular and barrel-shaped tops sit alongside extending versions, with wood, ceramic and marble surface options. Selected models coordinate top materials with inserts in the legs. Torii ST instead provides a circular wood-veneer surround and rotating ceramic or marble center, offered in three diameters with the same inclined-base concept.
Maurizio Marconato and Terry Zappa founded their architectural studio in Cantù in 1991 after graduating from the Politecnico di Milano. Their collaboration covers furniture for homes and offices, from concept development to production. The studio also works on graphics, photography and exhibition design to support its product projects.
