Arketipo Santos includes the Santos and Santos XL modular outdoor sofas by Gino Carollo.
Both use solid iroko structures, but their seating arrangements differ. Santos can incorporate optional wooden shelves and tables around its cushions. XL uses broader, rounded upholstered elements with weighted backs and layers of polyurethane and memory foam. The designs allow separate modules to form different outdoor seating layouts, and their upholstery requires protection from prolonged or heavy rain.
Gino Carollo began his design career in 1990 and established his own studio in 1999. His practice includes furniture, interiors, exhibitions and art direction. Product development and prototyping connect the studio's manufacturing collaborations with projects for showrooms and visual communication.
