Mezz'aria Chair
Lago’s Mezz’aria Chair balances an overhanging seat on a slanted support structure, with no rear legs interrupting its profile.
The cantilevered frame gives the seating a springy response, while smooth or quilted upholstered versions offer different surface treatments. Metal or wood support options extend the design’s interplay of a substantial seat and visually light base.

- Materials
- 01Cantilevered rear seat
Inclined supports carry the seat without separate legs beneath its rear edge.
- 02Flexible frame response
The connection between the shell and legs permits a slight spring during use.
- 03Different seat constructions
Upholstered and wooden versions provide separate surfaces above the support structure.
The Mezz’aria Chair cantilevers its seat beyond a pair of inclined front supports.
Daniele Lago designed the frame to flex slightly beneath seated weight. Separate versions use fabric, leather or wooden seats, with smooth and quilted treatments among the upholstered options. Metal or oak support choices vary the base while retaining the rearward overhang of the design.
