Coffee tables and console tables.
Sovet Italia Nido includes coffee tables and consoles by Lievore Altherr Molina with bent-glass tops over slender metal frames.
Curved glass edges contrast with the straight support lines underneath. Low rectangular surfaces and smaller, taller tables suit different positions around seating, while the console narrows the same construction for an entrance or wall. Transparent and lacquered glass options change the color and visibility of the supporting metal structure.
Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina formed their Barcelona studio in 1991. Their work includes furniture, interiors, packaging, consulting and art direction. The studio combines product development with teaching and collaborations for manufacturers in Spain, Italy and the United States.
