Mater Dome is Todd Bracher’s family of table lamps, pairing rounded aluminum shades with steel bases.
The hand-spun shade directs light beneath its broad dome, while a textile-covered cord completes the freestanding design. Baby Dome measures 25 cm across and the larger Dome measures 40 cm, offering two scales for a desk, side table or shelf. Both keep the rounded shade as the dominant element.
Todd Bracher is a New York designer and strategist whose experience includes working in Copenhagen, Milan, Paris and London. His practice covers furniture, objects, interiors and architecture. His collaboration with Mater includes an interest in exchanging knowledge with craftspeople and supporting the continuity of local making traditions.
