Marset Theia pairs table and floor lamps by Mathias Hahn with intersecting half-spheres.
Turning the head changes the light from a direct reading beam to reflected illumination aimed toward a wall or nearby object. Metal and methacrylate shape the dark sculptural body, with warm LEDs inside. Integrated progressive dimming adjusts brightness, bringing the same control over light and shadow to tabletop and standing positions.
Mathias Hahn is a German designer based in London. He studied in Essen and at the Royal College of Art, completing its Design Products course in 2006. A cofounder of the OKAY studio collective, he has developed furniture and lighting for manufacturers including Marset and Ligne Roset.
