LaPalma Wod is Raffaella Mangiarotti’s modular room-divider family with linked wood or fabric-covered panels.
Leather hinges and turned wooden pins allow the repeated elements to run straight or curve around a space. The wood version uses plywood, while the textile version covers polyester-fiber panels in Trevira CS fabric. Two heights, 140 and 180 cm, create different degrees of visual separation without requiring a permanent wall.
Raffaella Mangiarotti is a Milanese architect and designer who studied with Tomás Maldonado and completed a doctorate in design. After working with Marco Zanuso and Francesco Trabucco, she co-founded deepdesign with Matteo Bazzicalupo. Her product work considers function, ergonomics and how people relate to objects.
