Heller MB is Mario Bellini’s family of molded lounge furniture, comprising the MB1 armchair, MB2 sofa and MB5 low table.
The chair and sofa use broad arms, low backs and continuous bodies made from self-cushioning polymer. The square MB5 extends the same angular outline into a table that can also serve as an ottoman or occasional seat. All three pieces are intended for indoor and outdoor use.
Mario Bellini graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1959. His career has included architecture, planning, interiors, furniture and industrial products. He worked as design director at La Rinascente before joining Olivetti in 1963, developing office machines in collaboration with engineers and model makers.
