Foscarini Tartan pairs ceiling lights and pendants by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba with raised checks across white blown glass.
Horizontal and vertical lines recall woven fabric, giving the rounded shade a textured matte surface. Light diffuses through the glass and projects directly through the open underside. The suspended version hangs the form below a fine cable, while the ceiling light places it close to its mounting surface.
Ludovica and Roberto Palomba develop furniture and other design projects through observation of everyday behavior. Their joint practice connects practical functions with cultural references and research into changing ways of living. They have designed products for Vondom, Driade, Foscarini and Talenti.
