Foscarini Havana includes indoor and outdoor lights by Jozeph Forakis with long, tapered white diffusers.
Indoor lamps join four polyethylene segments with small metal fasteners, allowing light through the body and gaps. Outdoor versions use a single molded polyethylene shell with bands recalling that construction. Floor, hanging and wall-mounted arrangements use fittings appropriate to their position, with outdoor standing models offering base, ground-picket or buried-cylinder installations.
Jozeph Forakis established his studio in 2002 with offices in Milan and New York. His work explores materials, production techniques and the influence of digital technology on everyday objects. His Havana lamp for Foscarini is included in the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
