Foscarini Birdie is Ludovica and Roberto Palomba’s family of table, floor, wall and pendant lamps with tapered polycarbonate shades.
Branch-like details distinguish the original forms, including touch dimmers on selected LED table and floor versions. Birdie Easy simplifies the supports, while Birdie Zero brings the shade directly toward the tabletop. Light sources and controls vary by model, connecting the range through its familiar shade and slender supporting lines.
Ludovica and Roberto Palomba develop furniture and other design projects through observation of everyday behavior. Their joint practice connects practical functions with cultural references and research into changing ways of living. They have designed products for Vondom, Driade, Foscarini and Talenti.
