Connubia Desy is a dining-chair and counter-stool family with rounded padded seats and separate backs above exposed metal frames.
Curving, intersecting tubes outline the original chair, while the stool adds a footrest below its fixed 25⅝ inch seat. Desy Mid broadens the back around the sitting position and fixes it mechanically to the frame. Fabric or faux-leather coverings provide different surfaces across the family, with home and commercial uses specified for the original chair and stool.
Archirivolto was founded by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci in Colle di Val d’Elsa in 1983. The practice began with architecture and interiors before developing an industrial design focus. Its work includes chairs, stools, sofas and office seating, with research into materials and manufacturing processes.
