Connubia Boheme is a dining-chair and counter-stool family with regenerated-leather seats and backs on metal frames.
The chair uses a taller, gently curved back, while the stool shortens that upper profile and raises the seat to 25⅝ inches. A front footrest joins the stool's slender legs. Both remain armless, exposing the fine supporting structure beneath the covered shell and giving the same material combination different proportions for tables and counters.
Sergio Mian is an architect and designer who was born in Padua and studied architecture at IUAV. His seating designs appeared in furniture publications from the late 1980s, and examples were selected for the film Short Cuts. Connubia credits him with the Boheme chair and stool.
