Cappellini Newood is a wooden seating family by Brogliato Traverso with dining chairs, stools and lounge forms.
Indoor versions use solid ash, with spindle backs or the open curves of Light models. Dining chairs stack, while stools add fixed footrests at two heights. Upholstered seats vary by version. Lido adaptations use iroko for covered outdoor areas, including a two-seat Relax sofa with removable cushions and fabric covers. The curved wooden outline connects the different seat heights and back treatments.
Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso founded BrogliatoTraverso after studying architecture in Venice. Their experience includes exploring Murano glassmaking and traditional Japanese ceramics. The studio develops products through a process of simplification, retaining detailed construction within restrained forms. Its furniture includes the Newood collection for Cappellini.
