Pianca Nuvola by Pier Luigi Frighetto includes indoor and outdoor armchairs with broad, handwoven seats and open metal frames.
The indoor chair uses natural kraft paper for its woven seat and back, with an additional upholstered cushion offered separately. The outdoor version replaces paper with polyester-fiber rope around an AISI 304 stainless-steel structure. Its checked central weave opens into individual strands near the frame, with rope also wrapping the tubular arms.
Pier Luigi Frighetto began his design career by establishing an upholstered furniture business in Vicenza at the age of 21. His work combines furniture development with knowledge of materials and production. Through Frighetto & Partners, his projects have received two honorable mentions for the Compasso d’Oro.
