LaPalma Kisat includes stacking chairs by Hee Welling with plywood seats and backs framed by die-cast aluminum.
Four steel legs support the 46 cm-high seats, while the aluminum outline traces the shaped backrest. Versions with upholstered seats add fabric beside the exposed wood, and other finishes vary the shell surfaces. Felt-equipped nylon feet complete the chairs for dining tables and shared indoor seating areas.
Hee Welling studied in Helsinki and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, completing a master's degree in furniture design in 2003. He established his Copenhagen studio that year. His work includes furniture, interiors and industrial design for manufacturers such as HAY, Fredericia, Lammhults and LaPalma.
