LaPalma Foil includes upholstered armchairs by Francesco Rota with tall backs flowing down into the arms.
Injected foam pads a rigid polyurethane shell, with fabric fitted without glue. Wood and steel four-leg versions sit beside aluminum swivel bases, including mobile models with self-braking casters. Selected office versions adjust the seat from 46 to 56 cm, letting the same slender shell serve dining, meeting and desk settings.
Francesco Rota is a Milan-based product and interior designer. He graduated from Art Center College of Design in Switzerland in 1994 and opened his studio in 1998. His work spans furniture, lighting and interior spaces. He became LaPalma's creative director in 2013.
