Flos SuperWire includes Formafantasma’s floor, table and pendant lamps built from hexagonal glass modules.
Flat glass panels meet at polished aluminum joints around elongated warm 2700K LED sources. The table lamp uses one enclosure, while larger suspended and floor arrangements connect modules; the floor lamp stands on a steel tripod. Removable light elements can be replaced or repaired independently, keeping the surrounding glass-and-metal structure in use when the light source requires attention.
Formafantasma is a design practice that approaches form as the outcome of research and making. Its work examines how people live with and produce objects. In lighting collaborations with Flos, the studio considers both illumination and shadow, alongside the broader relationship between objects and their surroundings.

We show Flos by appointment at both showrooms — Royal Oak on Woodward and Troy at the Michigan Design Center. Call ahead and we'll have samples and finishes pulled and waiting.
