Pendants and floor lamps.
Flos Seki-Han includes Tobia Scarpa’s floor and pendant lamps with two rotating ash-wood blades around a tubular light source.
Opening and closing the wooden elements changes the balance of direct and indirect illumination. Chrome-plated fittings connect the blades, with a black iron base beneath the upright floor version. Both use a replaceable warm 2700K LED tube, with integrated dimming on the floor lamp and compatible external controls for the suspension.
Tobia Scarpa works in architecture and design and contributed to the early development of Flos. His lighting projects investigate how materials and technical experimentation can produce new kinds of objects. In discussing his practice, he connects design with architecture and the careful use of materials.

We show Flos by appointment at both showrooms — Royal Oak on Woodward and Troy at the Michigan Design Center. Call ahead and we'll have samples and finishes pulled and waiting.
