Flos Emi includes Erwan Bouroullec’s table and floor lamps with triangular light heads and slender stems.
Cast-iron bases support optical assemblies that direct warm 2700K LED light upward and downward while limiting glare. Separate touch controls at the top of each stem dim the two emissions independently. The floor model raises this arrangement to room scale, while the table lamp brings the same control of ambient and downward illumination to a lower surface.
Erwan Bouroullec designs objects and lighting. His work explores the atmosphere created by light and the relationship between industrial production and everyday experience. In his discussions with Flos, he describes a hands-on approach shaped by experimentation, visual art and an interest in technology.
