Ditre Italia Isla pairs a flexible sofa system with fixed or swivel lounge armchairs by Stefano Spessotto.
Rounded sofa bases support separate weighted backrests that can be positioned around the seating islands, with curved ends and chaise elements extending the layouts. Layered foam and memory foam sit above elastic webbing. The armchair encloses a single seat within fixed fabric upholstery, while fabric covers on the sofa bases and separate backs can be removed.
Stefano Spessotto trained at the Art School of Udine and worked in advertising before moving into product design. He founded the Dedalo studio in 1991. His practice includes industrial, graphic and interior design, with furniture collaborations and a long association with Ditre Italia's artistic direction.
