Ditre Italia Sanders is a platform-seating family with weighted movable backs that change the direction of use.
The original sits low, while Sanders Air raises the platforms on slender bases. A sofa-bed version adds a pull-out sleeping surface. Outdoor Air sofas use treated aluminum supports and removable fabric over protective linings; the separate outdoor chaise uses galvanized steel. Two platform depths span the sofa ranges, with upholstery-removal rules differing between fabric, leather and mixed versions.
Stefano Spessotto trained at the Art School of Udine and worked in advertising before moving into product design. He founded the Dedalo studio in 1991. His practice includes industrial, graphic and interior design, with furniture collaborations and a long association with Ditre Italia's artistic direction.
