Casamania Raphia includes two dining armchairs that interpret the same curved outline through different materials.
The rattan version ties a natural rattan shell to a textured painted metal frame with nylon ties and adds self-leveling feet. Raphia Aluminum uses a hand-welded, painted aluminum structure with open slats across the seat and back. Designed by LucidiPevere, both versions share an 18.1 inch seat height and the same overall width and depth.
Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere established their design studio in Udine after training in Milan. Their work begins with investigations into materials and manufacturing technology. Collaborations with Foscarini include the concrete Aplomb lighting collection, the Bahia wall lamp and the organically shaped Lake lamp.
