Casamania Ouch & Kouch brings together a rounded armchair and a two-seat sofa designed by Karim Rashid.
Both use cold-foamed polyurethane around a reinforced metal structure, with fixed fabric, leather or faux-leather upholstery. Ouch encloses a single seat within its rising back and arms, while Kouch stretches the related form into an 82.7 inch wide sofa. Both pieces keep a low, 14.2 inch seat height.
Karim Rashid works across product design and interiors, including furniture, hotels, restaurants and public spaces. His training included industrial design studies in Italy. Alongside manufactured products, his practice extends into art, fashion and music, bringing these disciplines into a broad approach to everyday objects and environments.
