Mauro Lipparini
Mauro Lipparini is an architect and designer based in Florence, where he graduated in architecture in 1980 and later taught. His studio works on two fronts: furniture, textiles and products for European and Japanese manufacturers, and architecture and interiors, from houses and showrooms to shops and exhibition stands, along with the graphics and catalogues that go with them. He describes his approach as an essentialism that joins Florentine tradition with ideas formed during his time in Japan. His early recognition came with the Young & Designer award in Milan in 1987 and the Du Pont award in Cologne in the following years, and his work has since received a Good Design award and an Architizer A+ jury award. On this site his pieces appear across Arketipo, Bonaldo, Lago and Natuzzi Italia; for Bonaldo his designs include the Tip Toe chair, the Prora table and the Youniverse bed, and for Natuzzi Italia the Habita collection.
