Adriano Rachele
Adriano Rachele is an Italian lighting designer whose work is bound up with Slamp, the Roman house of handmade resin lamps. He graduated in industrial design in 2007 and joined Slamp's research and development department in 2008, where he has worked since. His Veli collection, pendants, wall lights and table lamps whose soft folds of Opalflex open like blossoms, brought him recognition in 2010 as one of the young talents of Italian design and the attention of the Red Dot jury, and his Clizia, built from translucent panels stitched into a loose, sinuous form, became the house's best seller and marked its tenth anniversary in 2023. His other collections for Slamp include Cactus, Étoile and Hanami. He has said that light is the only element that gives visible spirit to objects, and his pieces keep a handmade quality within serial production. On this site his lamps appear across Slamp.
