Slamp was founded in 1994 by Roberto Ziliani in Pomezia, near Rome, around the idea of a lamp that is light, unbreakable and expressive. Its diffusers are made from technopolymers developed by the company, cut and then shaped and assembled by hand, so that thin sheets become petals, folds and layered volumes. Designers including Zaha Hadid, Nigel Coates, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Marc Sadler and Adriano Rachele have shaped the collection.
At Italcasa Design, explore Slamp pendants, ceiling and wall lights, and table and floor lamps with our team in Royal Oak or Troy, or work with us remotely from elsewhere in the United States. We can help compare sizes, colors and placement, then confirm the U.S. version and delivery details of your chosen lamp before ordering.
Families grouped the way the factory builds them — pick one and we'll configure it to your room.
Adriano Rachele's Clizia gathers technopolymer petals into a soft, irregular cloud, assembled by hand through an interlocking system. Lit, it casts gentle shadows across the walls and ceiling around it. The family includes pendant, ceiling and wall, and table versions in several sizes and colors, so compare the exact size and finish for your room, then confirm the U.S. version.

Slamp is an Italian lighting company founded in 1994 by Roberto Ziliani. Its lamps are handmade in Italy at the company's production site in Pomezia, near Rome.
Most Slamp diffusers are made from the company's own technopolymers, such as Opalflex®, Lentiflex® and Cristalflex®. The sheets are cut, then shaped and assembled by hand, giving lamps that are light and resistant to breakage.
Adriano Rachele designed Clizia. Its technopolymer petals are assembled by hand through an interlocking system, and the collection includes pendant, ceiling and wall, and table versions.
Slamp supplies U.S. versions of its lamps, with E26 or E12 bulb sockets depending on the model. Bulbs, dimming and installation vary by lamp, so confirm the exact U.S. specification with Italcasa before ordering.
Contact Italcasa Design in Royal Oak or at Michigan Design Center in Troy for Slamp. Our team can help compare the collection and plan your selection. Confirm the current display pieces and samples before visiting.
Italcasa assists clients throughout the contiguous United States. Send your Slamp selection and delivery ZIP code to confirm current availability, freight and delivery arrangements for your address.
Send the Slamp model, size, color and quantity, along with your delivery ZIP code. For pendants and ceiling lights, include the ceiling height and whether the lamp will be on a dimmer, so the correct U.S. version and suspension length can be checked.
Slamp was founded in 1994 by Roberto Ziliani in Pomezia, near Rome. Its first lamp, Tube, was light and unbreakable at a time when a chandelier usually meant a heavy, fixed object. In 2018 the company opened a new production site and creative hub in Pomezia, and in 2024, its thirtieth year, Ziliani received the ADI Compasso d'Oro career award. That history is useful context, but choose a lamp for its light, scale and place in your room.
Slamp works with its own technopolymers, including Opalflex®, Lentiflex® and Cristalflex®. Opalflex diffuses light evenly, Lentiflex uses a prismatic surface to soften glare, and Cristalflex has a smoked, glass-like finish. The sheets are cut, then shaped and assembled by hand. Because the material is light and resistant, large and intricate forms remain practical. Compare finishes in person where you can, since each changes the color and sparkle of the light.
Collections such as Clizia, Veli, La Lollo and C'est La Vie offer related pendants, ceiling and wall lights, and table lamps, so one design language can carry through a home. Start with the role of the light: a large pendant can anchor a dining table or living area, while a ceiling or wall version suits a hallway or bedroom. Italcasa can compare sizes and the current U.S. versions with you before you choose.
Slamp's collaborations include Zaha Hadid, Nigel Coates, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Marc Sadler and Adriano Rachele. Hadid's Aria builds a volume from fifty layered profiles; Marc Sadler developed the heat-shaping technique behind Accordéon and Tulip; Rachele designed Clizia, Veli and C'est La Vie. Consider each lamp both lit and unlit, since its silhouette and the pattern of light it casts are part of the design.
Slamp is shown by appointment at both — call ahead and we'll have samples and finishes pulled and waiting.
