Slide Design Gelée includes ottomans and a lounge chair by Roberto Paoli, inspired by the ribbed form of jelly candy.
Soft polyurethane gives the bodies a yielding surface around their rounded tops and scalloped sides. The compact ottoman and 112 cm-wide Grand provide different seating scales, while the lounge chair adds an enclosing backrest. The pieces are suitable for indoor and outdoor arrangements.
Roberto Paoli is an architect and designer whose practice covers products, interiors and architecture. His studio develops housing, retail spaces, showrooms, events and exhibition stands. In 2013 he established the Seminato Mercadante brand to produce objects developed through research and experimentation with materials and forms.
