Ditre Italia Alta is an armchair and sofa family by Patrick Norguet with broad rounded bodies shaped by a horizontal outer band.
The armchair and two- or three-seat sofas keep the same low supports and enclosed upholstered outline. Wooden structures and crossed elastic webbing support foam-filled seating beneath fabric or leather. Sofa widths of 72 and 94⅛ inches provide two shared-seat formats while retaining a common 36⅝ inch overall depth.
Patrick Norguet studied design in Paris and established his studio after his Rainbow Chair attracted Giulio Cappellini's attention in 2000. His approach centers on collaboration with manufacturers, bringing visual research together with production knowledge, technical requirements and the practical use of the finished object.
