Bonaldo James by Sergio Bicego includes a bed and coordinating bench with exposed metal supports beneath stitched upholstery.
The bed contrasts its fine raised frame with a broad, padded headboard, available in fabric, leather or faux leather. The bench places a tailored seat above a separate metal platform and four cylindrical legs. Both pieces leave space visible beneath their padded volumes, carrying the same stitched detailing into sleeping and bedroom seating functions.
Sergio Bicego developed his experience in upholstered furniture before establishing an independent design studio near Vicenza in 1991. He began collaborating with Saba Italia in 1993. His work explores adaptable seating arrangements, including the My Taos, Ananta, Limes, Pixel and New York collections.
