Sophia Chair
The Sophia chair by Carlesi Tonelli for Calligaris uses two slender metal rods to form a geometric supporting frame.
Separate padded plywood elements create the seat and backrest, leaving the structure visible between them. The contrast between the fine metal outline and shaped upholstery gives the chair an open, graphic presence around a dining table.
Every detail, considered.

Slender metal rods connect the separate seat and back, leaving an open profile.
Sophia by Calligaris is a dining chair with separate padded seat and back elements.
Two slender metal rods form the supporting frame, which stays visible between the upholstered parts. Plywood shapes the seat and backrest beneath their padding. The open structure gives this chair a defined frame around the cushions. It measures 20 ½ inches wide and 22 ½ inches deep, with an 18 ⅝-inch seat height.
