Edi & Paolo Ciani
Edi and Paolo Ciani are brothers who run a product and interior design studio in San Giovanni al Natisone, in the furniture district of Udine. Edi trained as a technical interior and furnishing designer and began designing accessories and industrial objects in 1987; Paolo took a master's in industrial design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. The studio they founded together in the 1990s designs furniture for homes, offices and the outdoors and keeps the whole process in-house, from three-dimensional modeling and technical drawings to prototypes built in its own workshop and photorealistic renderings. Its designs have received the Young & Design and Catas awards and Best of Show at the ICFA Design Excellence Awards in Chicago, and it designs outdoor collections for Jensen Outdoor.
