Toyo Ito
Toyo Ito graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1965 and founded Toyo Ito & Associates, Architects in 1971. His architectural research explores lightness and the relationship between buildings and their surroundings. His work has received the Pritzker Architecture Prize, the RIBA Royal Gold Medal and the Venice Architecture Biennale's Golden Lion.
